If you are experiencing a buzzing or hissing noise when using the microphone on the Melomania Touch this could be down to a few reasons.
The first thing to check is that there isn't an issue with your phone signal or network provider. Do you have the same issues when using the phone's own speaker or microphone? If possible, are you able to check if you experience the same issue using a different phone? Please also check if you have the option to enable HD voice on your phone as this could have an effect on improving the quality of what you are hearing back.
The next step to try is to switch which earbud you are using as the Primary and Secondary. You can check which earbud is primary and secondary by looking in your devices Bluetooth list. You should then replace the earbuds in the charge case then take out the earbud that was not primary, this will cause it to then become the primary earbud. After about 10 seconds take out the other earbud which will now be the secondary and see if you still experience the same issue with microphone buzzing or hissing.
If after reconnecting your earbuds you no longer experience this issue with the other earbud as the primary, then the fault may be with the original earbud, which likely has a defective microphone. If that is the case please get back in touch and we can arrange to have these swapped out for you as quickly as possible.
Finally, if you are able to send us a recording of the call quality or hissing/buzzing of the earbud then this would be very helpful in ascertaining if a software update will be able to eradicate any background noise and improve overall sound quality when using for calls with your device. Please use the contact form below and let us know the make and model of your mobile device and what OS it is using if you are able to do this (and you have not already given this information).
