The Melomania App is designed for Melomania Touch and not Melomania 1, so if you try and connect a pair of Melomania 1's to the app the app will not function.
Unfortunately it is impossible for us to make Melomania 1 retro-compatible with the app as when it was designed over a year ago was never designed to work with an app.
